Chicago’s tree is always a reputable spectacle and the Chicago Christmas Tree Lighting is a community tradition that draws hundreds of people to the tree’s home, Millennium Park, to see the tree’s first radiant appearance every year.

With special guest speakers, carolers, live music, and Santa Claus himself making an appearance, you’re going to want to make sure you stake out a good spot to get the best view of Chicago’s Christmas tree coming to life for the very first time this season.
Head Over to the Christkindlemart
A Chicago tradition that all locals anticipate the return of: The Christkindlmarket. Opening on November 15th, this open-air German market offers small and big German bites, perfect holiday gifts and crafts, and of course many crisp beers and warmed wines to choose from to be able to take home a souvenir kindlmarket mug.
This is an amazing way to end the Christmas Tree lighting and the perfect way to kick off the holiday season.
