Chicago Christmas Tree Lighting

Written By: Jessie White

Most of us would agree that it doesn’t quite feel like the holidays until you see the gorgeous display of lights on your chosen Christmas Tree. The tradition is so timeless that cities all over the world have adopted the practice and all have their own Christmas tree to shine holiday cheer to all of its cities residents. Chicago’s tree is always a reputable spectacle and the Chicago Christmas Tree Lighting is a community tradition that draws hundreds of people to the tree’s home, Millennium Park, to see the tree’s first radiant appearance every year.

However, seeing that gorgeous Christmas tree light up for the first time this season isn’t the only amazing thing about checking out this gorgeous event. There are many holiday activities that you can check out before or after the program which includes live music, caroling, and a special visit from Mr. Claus himself. So check out our suggestions below if you want to make the absolute most out of the 106th Annual Chicago Christmas Tree Lighting.
